Meta's Muse personal AI agent now runs natively on macOS via a direct Muse-1.0 download, organizing files, filling forms, and tapping Messages, Calendar, and Notes with user permission.
Meta has widened the availability of Muse, its personal AI agent, with a native application for macOS. The desktop arrival extends a product that first reached U.S. users on September 8, 2026, when it debuted on iOS, Android, and the muse.ai website. By adding a Mac client, Meta is carrying the agent beyond phones and the browser and into the desktop environment where document-heavy, form-driven, and scheduling work commonly takes place.
Distribution is already live on the company's official Muse download page, which lists Muse for Mac OS as a direct macOS download packaged as a Muse-1.0 disk image. The same page hosts the free iPhone and Android applications, consolidating every Muse client in a single location. Because the desktop build ships as a disk image, Mac users obtain the software through a direct download rather than a storefront listing.
Meta describes the Mac application as an assistant with hands on everyday computing tasks. According to the company, it can organize files, fill out forms, and pull information from Messages, Calendar, and Notes. Meta frames each of these capabilities as operating with the user's permission, language that acknowledges the sensitivity of granting an agent access to personal communications, schedules, and stored notes.
