Profound, the marketing technology startup formally incorporated as Cooper Square Technologies Inc., has raised $180 million in a Series D round that values the company at $1.8 billion. The investment was announced on Tuesday and was led jointly by Sequoia Capital and Kleiner Perkins, two of the most prominent firms in venture capital.
A sizable syndicate of investors joined the round alongside the co-leads, including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Khosla Ventures, Saga Ventures, Evantic and South Park Commons.
